Fort Lauderdale Historical Society Founder's Dinner Fundraiser Proves a Great Success
The 2010 Fort Lauderdale Historical Society (FLHS) Founder's Dinner honoring Man of the Centennial H. Wayne Huizenga was held on October 29th at The Ritz-Carlton on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The event was a great success for FLHS making it the most successful fundraiser in FLHS's 48-year history.

It’s a five mile strand of beach in Broward County that takes us back in time to an era of segregation when African-Americans were forced to use beaches that were separated from the generally white population.
