Fort Lauderdale History Center hosts reknowned authors, scholars, local historians, re-enactors and public speakers at its monthly Speaker Series Monday evenings at 6:00pm. Check back often for calendar updates.

An Intergenerational Dialogue on Differences".

Michele Williams , Ph.D., RPA is the Director for the Southeastern Region of Florida Public Archaeology Network at Florida Atlantic University and will be speaking on "Native American Medicinal Plants".

Historic Walking Tours
The Fort Lauderdale Historical Society is pleased to offer walking tours of the original neighborhood of the city built along the New River prior to the 20th century.
Hear stories about Old Fort Lauderdale and the early Pioneers, learn about Henry Flagler and Florida East Coast Railroad and visit some of the oldest buildings in the city.
Tours begin at 2:30pm in the lobby area of the New River Inn and admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. October - May only.
