Speakers Bureau

FLHS’s Speakers Bureau members are available to speak to groups at most times - weekdays or weekends, daytime or evenings.

FLHS scholars have fascinating South Florida stories to engage and captivate your members about life as it was led by the people who lived here before us.

  • A Brief History of Fort Lauderdale
  • Fort Lauderdale’s Waterways - Yesterday and Today
  • Ivy and Frank Stranahan's Life on the New River
  • Henry Flagler's Plans for Fort Lauderdale
  • History of the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC)
  • Everglades History

If you are interested in presenting (at no cost) a fun and interesting historical speaker to your group, contact Director of Educational Services, Ellen Ferrelli at 954-463-4431, ext. 12, cell 603-991-3165, or education@flhc.org.
